Critiques
- "Here's a woman in the industry of pornographic entertainment, writing reverently about her monthly blood flow and presenting herself as feeling sexually attractive particularly during her menstrual time. As writer, creator, producer, editor, director, graphic artist, web-developer, star, you name it of her public broadcast, this seemingly inconceivable bridging of menstruation and sexuality is possible."

- "I think you have a lot of Goddess' power in you, especially during your Goddess Flow time. The poses you take are nearly all those of power and dominance, even when you are bestowing 'head' upon your man."

- On one such purveyor of period porn, www.onmyperiod.com, we see a woman who revels in her menses, even painting her body with her flow. I like to think that such attitudes are commendably progressive. It seems to me that all this fear of a little blood is a throwback from a time when a woman's sexuality as a whole was seen as evil, a temptation sent by the devil to damn men who weren't strong enough to resist.

- "I like your projects, because, in a more positive way, you try to explore the body in a most original way. The On My Period project, for instance, is very challenging, since you do not claim to be 'extreme' in any way, but you try to explore the female body in a most natural way. Not by looking to break any taboo, but just by not caring about them (for instance, you are not turning the menstruation period from 'dirty' to 'extra-dirty', which would be the extremist point of view, but you consider it beautiful)."

- I really enjoyed your photography and wanted to let you know I am happy to see women unafraid of their periods and being free, happy, creative, and intelligent like you.
It's really wonderful to see a woman, and one so lovely as you,
openly celebrating her femininity in this way. I think that the
pictureof you standing, with the spiral patterns around your breasts
and the chopsticks in your hair, is a vision of perfection. And
yes, it is erotic, but it's so much more than that. It demonstrates
that you can proudly accept the nature of yourself, something
that many in the western world refuse to do, leading them into
unsatisfied lives. Your lovely face exudes strength and happiness.
I hope it's always so.

- You are doing beautiful work, and not only
that, you are expressing yourself in a wonderful way. At some
point (when I have more time), I will explain in detail why I
think what you are doing is good for the world. In a nutshell:
You are being truthful to who you are, and what you feel. In college
we were constantly asking ourselves "What is art?" (I
studied classical music and played a lot of overly cerebral and
inaccessible stuff). Last week I finally heard a definition I
can agree with. It came in the context of a discussion. The follow-up
question to what is art was: is beauty enough? No - beauty is
the bait, and can get people interested. Art is not only about
beauty, but more importantly, expresses truth!

- "I usually don't explore too much in the 'visual' period categories but your pictures are just so awesomely nasty (grin). Thanks! My favorite one is the one of you sitting on the toilet holding your undies up to the camera. Eeek. I won't mention the other pictures, lol. Thanks again... love your writing too!"

- "I have fantasized at times of tasting the natural monthly nectar and it is not a fantasy I can well tell very many of but I am not ashamed to admit this to you knowing your very open nature as you have shown, and your acceptance of the different, non-ritualistic and the tried-and-true. You are certainly a woman in touch with your honest sexuality and the beauty of nature at its timely best.

- "There's no art in fucking mensuh. She smears her mensuh juices all over her body and sticks chopsticks in her hair to look like a devil. May Ling Su is charging $25 for her Complete On My Period Collection CD. Crazy bitch...why didn't I think of that? Sick? Or Art?"
